Charles Stube

OUR STORY

Founded 1976

Founder, CHARLES STUBE, worked in the dairy industry for over 70 years.  He started his career in Minnesota in 1936 at Arrowhead Creamery in Duluth. Charles then served in the Army during WWII as a member of the 99th Infantry Battalion of the 10th Mountain Division.  After serving, he worked with Rochester Dairy in Minnesota until 1961 when he accepted a position as Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Dairylea and moved to Syracuse, NY.  He later worked with NEDCO (1972-1980) before starting The Charles Stube Company, Inc. in 1976 sourcing and distributing product for Kohler Mix, Mid America Farms, and Holly Milk.  Charles served on several Boards and as President of the American Dairy Products Institute in 1974.  He also received the David Bandlers’ Achievement Award presented by the New York State Cheese Manufacturers Association in 2006.   He was an active member of his Lutheran church (serving as President of the Church Council), the Sons of Norway, and the Shriners.

KRAIG STUBE, President and Sales Manager, attended Syracuse University in NY and graduated from St. Olaf College in MN with a degree in Economics.  He has been working in the company since 1980 and assumed responsibility for it upon his father’s death in 2006.  Kraig is an active member of the American Dairy Products Institute, and has served on the Affiliate Member Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Cheese Manufacturers Association and is a member of the Northeast Dairy Foods Association.  

Focus:  Sourcing truckloads, tankers, and pallets of high-quality dairy ingredients nationwide and distributing them to domestic manufacturers and retailers.
